Hi there from KCU College of Dental Medicine ASDA!
As one of the newest ASDA chapters, founded in 2023, our mission is to serve both our student members and to improve the well-being of the communities we serve. Our chapter gets involved through outreach, advocacy, and organized dentistry. At Kansas City University, we are proud to collaborate closely with the Missouri Dental Association to promote professional growth and involvement at the state level.
We're excited to grow our presence on campus and build a strong foundation for years to come. As a new chapter, we are focused on creating lasting traditions, building relationships with sponsors and partners, and showing our peers the value of being involved in ASDA. We’re also encouraging participation in our auto-enroll program so that every student can benefit from ASDA and ADA membership from day one.
Through the dedication of our amazing officers and members, we’re putting together meaningful events and initiatives that support student wellness, professional development, and community impact.
We can’t wait to see the legacy we’ll build as we shape the future of our chapter and contribute to the broader dental community!

At the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), our ASDA chapter is unique in that we have 100% enrollment of all our dental students. With over 460 members, our mission is to provide an enriching experience by equipping our student doctors with leadership, career development, advocacy awareness, health and wellness, social and networking opportunities, service, community involvement, and organized dentistry.
Supporting the well-being of our students is our top priority. Each year, our chapter officers plan and host a wide variety of events designed to foster growth, connection, and community.
We kick off the school year with Fever Week, culminating in our beloved Annual Crawfish Boil, a school favorite that sets the tone for the exciting year ahead.
Upcoming highlights for this year include:
● Wellness Month, featuring our newest tradition: the Prophy Cup Golf Tournament
● Advocacy Month
● Hands-on student workshops
● Service Month
● The Pre-Dental Symposium
● Our spring Cookout
● A special end-of-year surprise for our students
● Plus, countless lunch & learns and socials generously supported by our sponsors
We are proud to be actively involved with the Missouri Dental Association (MDA), the Kansas Dental Association (KDA), and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society. We also look forward to representing our chapter at the district and national ASDA conferences each year.
We are grateful to be a part of the new ASDA District 9 family! We are excited to collaborate with our fellow chapters and look forward to the impact we will make on our profession and communities. Here’s to a great year ahead: full of growth, connection, and leadership!

LINCOLN

Located in Lincoln, Nebraska, the UNMC College of Dentistry ASDA chapter is a close-knit and resilient community of dental students passionate about advancing the profession and supporting one another throughout dental school. With class sizes of just 52–56 students, our chapter thrives on strong personal connections, collaborative leadership, and high engagement.
Our mission is to foster professional growth, promote advocacy, and support student wellness while building a community centered on service, education, and resiliency. We offer consistent opportunities for involvement, including popular events like our annual Cajun Boil, Miles for Smiles charity run, food drives, tailgates, and our Prophy Cup golf tournament. We also connect with pre-dental students through our Drill & Fill Night and maintain a steady stream of Lunch & Learns and chapter meetings that fuel both education and camaraderie.
This past year, we were proud to ramp up our advocacy efforts, getting students involved on both local and national levels. As a small chapter with a big heart, UNMC ASDA is proud to make a meaningful impact within our school, community, and the future of dentistry.

The American Student Dental Association (ASDA) is the largest national organization dedicated to dental students with membership from 66 dental schools throughout the nation. Our chapter at the University of Oklahoma takes pride in our broad scope of involvement in the Oklahoma dental community. At the University of Oklahoma, we have an average of 97% student membership. Oklahoma ADA is working as hard as ever to serve our students, profession, and community. As things have reopen, we are so excited to get back to hosting in person events on campus and around our community. It is our mission to come back from this pandemic stronger and to continue providing quality events and resources to our members. There following part of this mission statement catches my attention and I plan on focusing on the most this year:
Welfare: There’s no doubt dental school is stressful. It’s crucial that we take care of ourselves. ASDA’s wellness initiative serves to remind us to prioritize our health.
As the president of the Oklahoma ASDA chapter, I encourage our students to get involved and take advantage of the many opportunities we will be offering them this year. Educating our students on the current issues involving the future of the dental profession enables them to understand the importance of having a unified voice for our education and professional life.
I am excited to watch our chapter continue to grow and accomplish new goals. I wish you all success this year and look forward to working with you and for you!
Sincerely,
